Good morning, I’d like to receive some information about a Great Wall evening trip, starting not before 4 pm on 23th August.
We are two people and our hotel is in the Bund. Can you send me some options and quote, please?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards.

    • Good morning, Laura!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We’re thrilled to help you plan an unforgettable evening trip to the Great Wall of China in Beijing! I understand you’re looking for options that start after 4 PM on the 23rd of August, and that you’re currently staying in the Bund area of Shanghai. Below, I’ve outlined two options for you, including transportation, guided tours, and pricing ( to be quoted ):

Practically, starting from your hotel in the Bund in Shanghai is too late. You know the fastest highspeed train from Shanghai to Beijing takes 4 and half hours, the transfer from Beijing South Railway Station to the night tour of Mutianyu Great Wall takes at least one hour. The night tour of Mutianyu Great Wall is closed at 9:30 pm. So we suggest you take the 2 pm highspeed train from Shanghai to Beijing.

Additionally, you’d better stay in Beijing for one night because the last train from Beijing to Shanghai leaves at 9:21 PM. You cannot catch the last train. So you should stay in Beijing for one night, take the next morning ‘s train back to Shanghai.

Based on the considerations above, we design two options ( prices to be quoted ) for you. If you are satisfied with the itineraries, then we quote you the prices.

Option 1: Private Evening Tour with night tour of the Mutianyu Great Wall
Description: Experience a private night tour of the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section, one of the most picturesque and less crowded areas. You’ll have the opportunity to walk along the wall as the sun sets, illuminated Great Wall followed by a Chinese dinner at a traditional Chinese restaurant.

      Itinerary:
2:00 PM: Depart from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in Shanghai and get to Beijing via a high-speed train (first-class tickets).
6:30 PM: Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the Mutianyu Great Wall (private car with an English-speaking guide).
7:30 PM: Access to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, with a private guide.
10:00 PM: Dinner at a local restaurant near the Wall.
11:00 PM: Return to your hotel in Beijing (transfer service )
6:00 AM: starts from your Beijing hotel to Beijing South Railway Station (transfer service )
7:00 AM: Train leaves for Shanghai and arrives in Shanghai at 11; 29 am and transfer to your hotel in the Bund in Shanghai
      Price: to be quoted

      Option 2: Budget-Friendly Independent Tour
Description: This option allows you to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall at your own pace. We provide train tickets, transfers in Beijing, and a detailed itinerary, but no guide is included.

      Itinerary:
2:00 PM: Depart from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in Shanghai and get to Beijing via a high-speed train (second-class tickets).
6:30 PM: Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the Mutianyu Great Wall (private car with driver)
7:30 PM: Access to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and visit on your own.
10:30 PM: No Dinner and return to your hotel in Beijing
6:00 AM: starts from your Beijing hotel to Beijing South Railway Station (transfer service )
7:00 AM: Train leaves for Shanghai and arrive in Shanghai at 11; 29 am and go to your hotel in the Bund in Shanghai on your own
      Price: to be quoted

      Important Notes:
Booking Deadline: Please note that due to the time-sensitive nature of this trip, bookings should be confirmed as soon as possible.
Inclusions: All options include round-trip train tickets, transfers, and entrance fees. Dinner and private guide are not included in the budget-friendly option.
Weather Considerations: Evening visits to the Great Wall are subject to weather conditions. In case of heavy rain or other adverse weather, the trip may be rescheduled or canceled with a full refund.

Please let us know which option suits you best, or if you have any specific preferences or questions. We’re here to make sure your Great Wall experience is as magical and memorable as possible!
