Itinerary:
Morning:
- 7:30 AM: Your English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Then, relax during the 2-hour drive to Gubei Water Town. Along the way, your guide will provide background information about the history of Simatai Great Wall and Gubei Water Town, enhancing your understanding of these remarkable sites.
- 9:30 AM: Upon arrival, your first stop will be the Simatai Great Wall. This section is renowned for its distinctive steepness and the preservation of 20 original watchtowers. As you hike along the wall, you’ll experience its rugged beauty and take in the panoramic views from Wangjing Tower, situated at an elevation of 1,000 meters, where on clear days, you can see the distant skyline of Beijing.
Midday:

Afternoon:
- 2:00 PM: Post-lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Gubei Water Town. Stroll through the various cultural zones, including the Old Camp Area, Republic Street Area, and Water Street Area, where you’ll experience the blend of ancient architecture and scenic water views.
