Embark on an unforgettable journey with our “Six-Day Exploration: Beijing and Xi’an Historical and Cultural Tour.” This tour takes you deep into the heart of China’s two most iconic cities.
First, experience the grandeur of Beijing, the nation’s capital, with its rich history and cultural heritage. Then, travel to Xi’an, the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, where history comes alive.
Throughout these six days, you will explore magnificent palaces, climb the Great Wall, and walk along the ancient city walls of Xi’an. You’ll also encounter the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors, a testament to China’s ancient glory. With comfortable four-star hotel accommodations, private transportation, and a knowledgeable Chinese-speaking guide, this tour offers an enriching and seamless experience.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be greeted and transferred by a private vehicle to your hotel. After check-in, you are free to explore the city at your own pace. Take a stroll and experience the vibrant mix of modern and traditional Beijing.
In the evening, rest well for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Tiananmen Square,the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park
After breakfast, start your day at Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Here, you’ll visit the Monument to the People’s Heroes and ascend the Tiananmen Tower.
Next, head to the Forbidden City. Your guide will lead you through this vast palace complex, where you’ll discover the opulence of China’s imperial history.
Enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch
In the afternoon, visit Jingshan Park, where you can climb the hill for a panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
Return to your hotel for a restful evening.
Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace
Start your day with a trip to the majestic Mutianyu Great Wall. Climb up the Wall. Hike this ancient structure and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, a royal garden retreat. Take a boat ride on Kunming Lake and explore the exquisite gardens and palaces.
Return to your hotel in the evening to relax.
Day 4: Beijing to Xi’an by High Speed Train
After breakfast, transfer to the Beijing Railway Station and board a high-speed train to Xi’an. This journey takes approximately five hours, offering you a comfortable and scenic ride.
Upon arrival in Xi’an, your private driver will meet you and take you to your hotel for check-in.
Enjoy the local Chinese lunch
In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Xi’an’s Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a famous Buddhist structure from the Tang Dynasty, located within the Daci’en Temple in Xi’an, with over 1,300 years of history. It was originally built in 652 to house Buddhist scriptures and statues brought back from India. The pagoda, with its unique style and historical significance, has become one of Xi’an’s iconic landmarks.
Then, head to Xi’an’s famous Muslim Quarter Food Street. Xi’an’s Muslim Quarter Food Street is a renowned culinary district located in the city’s central Muslim community. It offers a wide variety of halal delicacies, such as lamb soup with bread (yangrou paomo), Chinese hamburgers (roujiamo), and sour plum juice. The street attracts many visitors with its unique Hui culture, delicious local snacks, and vibrant atmosphere.
The rest of the day is yours to explore Xi’an at your leisure。
Day 5: Terracotta Warriors and Ancient City Wall
Begin your day with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors, one of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Your guide will provide insights into the history and significance of these life-sized statues.
Enjoy a traditional Shaanxi-style lunch
In the afternoon, explore the Xi’an Ancient City Wall. You can choose to walk or bike along the wall, taking in the views of the city and its historic architecture.
Return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 6: Return to Beijing by High Speed Train
After breakfast, your driver will take you to the Xi’an Railway Station, where you will board the high-speed train back to Beijing.
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met and transferred to the airport or downtown, concluding your enriching cultural journey.
