Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, where you will be greeted by a private transfer to your hotel for check-in.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace, soaking in the blend of modernity and tradition.
Relax in the evening and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City
Morning
- Tiananmen Square:
After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Here, you can see the Monument to the People’s Heroes, a tribute to those who fought for China’s freedom. You’ll also visit the Tiananmen Gate, where you can take in the grand views of the square.
- The Forbidden City:
Next, explore the Forbidden City, the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. This vast complex was the home of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. Follow your guide as you learn about the imperial life of the Ming and Qing dynasties and admire the magnificent architecture and collections of historical artifacts.
Afternoon
- Jingshan Park:
After a traditional Chinese lunch, visit Jingshan Park, located just north of the Forbidden City. The park offers a panoramic view of the Forbidden City from its central peak, providing a perfect spot to appreciate the grandeur of Beijing’s ancient architecture.
- Return to Hotel:
In the evening, return to your hotel to rest and unwind.
Day 3: The Great Wall and Ming Tombs

- The Mutianyu Great Wall:
Start your day with a visit to the Mutianyu Great Great Wall, one of the most iconic symbols of China. Climb up the Wall. Then you’ll explore the less crowded sections, where you can walk along the ancient stones and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The Great Wall, stretching over 13,000 miles, was built to protect China from northern invaders. Cable car down the hill.

- Ming Tombs:
After lunch, head to the Ming Tombs, the burial site of 13 Ming dynasty emperors. The tombs are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and reflect the grandeur of the Ming dynasty’s burial traditions. Your guide will share stories of the emperors who are interred here, giving you a deeper understanding of Chinese history.

Day 4: Summer Palace and Travel to Xi’an
Morning
- Summer Palace:
After breakfast, travel by private vehicle to the Summer Palace, China’s largest and most well-preserved royal garden. Stroll through the lush gardens, admire the beautiful Kunming Lake, and explore the magnificent palaces on Longevity Hill. A boat ride on the lake offers a peaceful way to experience the grandeur of this imperial retreat. Day 5: Terracotta Warriors and Ancient City Wall

The life-sized soldiers, horses, and chariots were built to protect the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. After lunch, explore the Ancient City Wall of Xi’an, one of the oldest and best-preserved city walls in China. Day 6: Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Travel to Shanghai

After breakfast, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a key Buddhist site built during the Tang dynasty. The pagoda was constructed to house the sacred Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the monk Xuanzang. You’ll learn about the cultural and religious significance of this ancient structure.

After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight home, concluding your unforgettable 8-day journey through Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai.
