Eating allowed on the high-speed train in China?

Hi Daniel, 
Also, on the high speed train, is eating allowed (like coffee n bread bun?) as some mornings, our train is early hehe.

Hi Oliver, as for your train question – yes, eating is allowed on high-speed trains. Just a little tip: it’s best to bring mild-smelling foods like bread, coffee, fruits, or biscuits (so, coffee and a bun – totally fine!). Avoid things like durian, garlic, or cup noodles, since they might bother other passengers.
 
If you’ve booked first class or business class train tickets, there’s a snack and drink included – nice little bonus for those early mornings! There are no public heating facilities on high-speed trains, but free hot water is available.
