I’m heading to Beijing in August 2025 and will be staying at ibis Beijing Qianmen Hotel in the Qianmen area. Super excited!
I was wondering—is there a visitor information center near Qianmen where I can grab maps, get travel tips, and maybe ask about local tours? Also, are there other visitors centers around Beijing in case I need help elsewhere?

Awesome choice—Qianmen is a fantastic area to stay in! You’ll be right in the heart of Beijing, close to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and some amazing food spots. 😍Now, for your question—yes, there’s a tourist information center in Qianmen! It’s called the Qianmen Tourist Service Center and is located at No. 96 Qianmen Street (Tel:67018075). It’s a great place to pick up free maps, ask for directions, and get insider tips on what to see and do nearby. The staff are friendly, and some of them speak English, so you won’t have any trouble.
If you need help elsewhere in Beijing, you’re covered! There are tourist information centers all over the city ( check out: Beijing Tourist Information Centers for more information) —at major attractions, parks, and transportation hubs.
Since you’re staying in Qianmen, I’d recommend popping into the local center when you arrive, grabbing some brochures, and asking about any special events or tours. Enjoy Beijing—it’s an incredible city!
