Hi Daniel,
I was wondering if foreign people can book visits to Mao Memorial Hall using a foreign number or do I need a local number?
Thank you,
Saif

Hi Saif,
Thanks for your message!
Regarding your question about booking a visit to the Mao Memorial Hall—yes, foreign visitors can absolutely make reservations, but there are a few important things to keep in mind:
Local Mobile Number Required: Currently, the reservation system requires a Chinese mobile number (from China Mobile, China Unicom, or China Telecom) for real-name registration. Even if you choose to log in using WeChat, you’ll likely still need to link it to a local number to complete the process.
How to Book:
Official Website: Visit https://jnt.mfu.com.cn , go to “个人预约” (Individual Reservation), and follow the instructions using WeChat or a mobile number.
WeChat Mini Program: In the WeChat app, search for “毛主席纪念堂预约瞻仰” and follow the steps under “个人预约.”
Required Documents: Foreign passport holders can use their passport to make the reservation. Residents from Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan should use their respective travel permits.
Booking Tips: Tickets are released daily at 12:30 PM and can be reserved 1 to 6 days in advance. The spots get snapped up quickly, so it’s best to book as soon as possible once they’re released.
Opening Hours: The hall is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (subject to change during public holidays).
Make sure to bring your original passport for onsite verification on the day of your visit.
Hope this helps, and best of luck securing your ticket!
Warm regards,
Daniel
