The high-speed trains between Guangzhou and Shenzhen run frequently, and the journey is fast and comfortable. You can catch a train from Guangzhou South Station to Shenzhen North Station, and in about 1 hour, you’ll be in Shenzhen.

There’s a lot to see in Shenzhen, like the Window of the World theme park, Shenzhen Bay for a nice stroll, or even some shopping at Luohu Commercial City. But just keep in mind that Shenzhen is a big city, so it’s better to plan ahead and pick a couple of highlights to make the most of your day.

If you’re short on time, I’d recommend starting early and heading back in the late afternoon or early evening to avoid rush hour.
