This one-day itinerary takes you to visit the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace.

Itinerary:
Morning:
8:00 AM: You’ll begin your day at the Temple of Heaven. This is where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held their annual ceremonies to pray for a good harvest. As you explore the well-preserved structures like the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Circular Mound Altar, your guide will explain the significance of these rituals and the philosophy of harmony between heaven and earth.
9:30 AM: Next, proceed to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Here, you’ll visit the Monument to the People’s Heroes and ascend Tiananmen Tower for a panoramic view of the vast square.
10:30 AM: Following your visit to the square, head to the Forbidden City, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will lead you through this magnificent palace complex, which served as the home of emperors for over 600 years. Explore the opulent halls and ancient relics, and learn about the lives, governance, and cultural significance of the Ming and Qing emperors.
Midday:
12:30 PM: Enjoy a traditional Beijing lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you will taste authentic local dishes, providing the energy needed for the rest of your day’s exploration.
Afternoon:
2:00 PM: After lunch, then you go to the Summer Palace, China’s largest and most well-preserved royal garden. Stroll through the lush gardens, admire the beautiful Kunming Lake, and explore the magnificent palaces on Longevity Hill. A boat ride on the lake offers a peaceful way to experience the grandeur of this imperial retreat. Your guide will share stories of the Qing Dynasty emperors who once escaped the summer heat in these tranquil surroundings.
4:30 PM: After your visit, return to you will return to your hotel, concluding a day filled with rich history and cultural discovery.
