Hi everyone! I’m currently in Shanghai and planning a short trip to Wuyuan to see the rapeseed flowers. I’ve heard it’s absolutely beautiful, but I’m not sure when the best time to visit is for the most stunning blooms. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!
Hey there!
If you're planning to see the rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan, the sweet spot is usually from mid-March to early April. The flowers begin to bloom around late February to early March, with the peak happening from mid to late March. So, the best time to visit is typically between March 8th and March 25th.
Top spots and activities for flower viewing:
-
Huangling: Known for its beautiful rapeseed flower fields, Huangling is a must-see. The terraced fields here are in full bloom from mid-March to early April. The yellow flowers set against the backdrop of traditional Hui-style architecture create a stunning, unique landscape.
-
Jiangling: Another excellent spot for rapeseed flower viewing, Jiangling's flowers also peak from mid-March to early April, offering breathtaking views similar to Huangling.
-
Hongguan Ancient Village & Qingyuan Ancient Village: These lesser-known villages are also home to beautiful flower fields. The rapeseed flowers at Hongguan start blooming around mid-March, while Qingyuan reaches its peak bloom from late March to early April.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip to Wuyuan!
