The first time I arrived in Wuyuan, I remember stepping off the bus and immediately noticing how quiet everything felt. White-walled Huizhou houses sat against soft green hills, and narrow village lanes seemed unchanged for generations. It didn’t feel like a typical tourist destination — it felt like stepping into an older rhythm of rural China.
This Wuyuan Travel Guide will help you plan that experience with clarity. I’ll walk you through the best ways to reach Wuyuan, how the villages are spread out, where to stay, and which places are truly worth your time.
Often called “China’s Most Beautiful Countryside,” Wuyuan in Jiangxi Province rewards travelers who slow down and explore village by village.
2. Best Time to Visit Wuyuan
The first time I visited Wuyuan in early spring, the entire valley looked like a Chinese ink painting that had suddenly been brushed with bright yellow. White Huizhou houses, black tile roofs, misty hills—and then fields of rapeseed flowers glowing under soft sunlight. It’s one of those scenes that feels almost unreal until you’re standing inside it.

Plum Blossoms (Late February to early March)
Spring is the most famous season here because the flowers bloom one after another from late February through April.
ther from late February through April.
- Plum Blossoms (late Feb – early Mar): These arrive first, quietly opening in village courtyards and along stone paths. By early March they’re usually nearing the end of their peak.
- Rapeseed Flowers (early Mar – mid-Apr): The signature landscape of Wuyuan. Fields at lower elevations bloom first. Terraced fields higher in the hills usually peak from mid-March to early April.
- Peach, Pear, and Cherry Blossoms (mid- to late Mar): These appear around the same time as the rapeseed flowers, adding soft pink and white layers to the villages.
- Azaleas (mid-Apr – early May): Found more in the hills and forests, blooming after the main rapeseed season fades.

Rapeseed Flowers (Early March to mid-April)
That said, autumn (September–November) is another wonderful time to visit. The air is crisp, crowds are lighter, and the hills turn warm shades of gold and red.
You’ll also see the famous “Shaiqiu” (晒秋) — sun-drying crops. Despite the name, it isn’t limited to autumn. Villagers dry peppers, corn, and other harvests on bamboo trays throughout the year.

Autumn Sun-Drying (晒秋)
Three popular viewpoints for this scene include:
- Sun-Drying Workshop (晒工坊)
- Photography Bar Viewing Deck (摄影吧观景台)
- Wuguitang (五桂堂)
Finally, Wuyuan becomes very busy during peak rapeseed bloom. If you want the villages at their most peaceful, arrive early in the morning or visit on weekdays. That quiet morning light is when Wuyuan feels most magical.
3. Where is Wuyuan County?
When I first planned my trip to Wuyuan, I remember opening the map and wondering why this beautiful place felt slightly “hidden.” Wuyuan sits in the northeastern corner of Jiangxi Province, under the administration of Shangrao City. It’s tucked quietly between several well-known destinations, which actually makes it a very convenient stop on a larger travel route.
To the north, Wuyuan borders Anhui Province and is not far from the famous Huangshan (Yellow Mountain). Many travelers combine these two places in one trip because the landscapes feel surprisingly connected—misty mountains, old Huizhou-style villages, and peaceful countryside.

Location of Wuyuan County (Google Maps source)
To the northwest, you’ll find Jingdezhen, China’s historic porcelain capital. It’s a fascinating place to visit if you’re curious about traditional ceramics and kilns.
Meanwhile, Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, lies to the southwest, while Shangrao sits to the southeast and serves as a major transportation hub for the region.
Because of this location, Wuyuan is easy to reach from several directions—whether you’re traveling from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Huangshan, or Nanchang. Many travelers include it as part of a broader journey through eastern China, linking mountains, historic towns, and countryside landscapes in one relaxed itinerary.
4. How to get to Wuyuan
Reaching Wuyuan is actually easier than most travelers expect. The first time I planned the trip, I assumed it would involve complicated transfers into the countryside. In reality, once you know the right route, getting there is quite straightforward—especially by high-speed train.
Most travelers arrive either by train or via a nearby airport, depending on where they’re coming from.
1) From Shanghai to Wuyuan
By High-Speed Train (Best Option)
This is by far the easiest way. Take a high-speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station directly to Wuyuan Railway Station. The journey usually takes about 3–4 hours.
The train is comfortable, fast, and drops you close to the county town where buses and taxis can take you to the surrounding villages. I usually recommend booking tickets in advance, especially during the spring rapeseed flower season.
By Long-Distance Bus
You can also take a bus from Shanghai South Long-Distance Bus Station. The ride takes around 6–8 hours. While slower, it passes through rural landscapes and smaller towns along the way.
By Car
Driving from Shanghai is another option if you want flexibility. The distance is roughly 450 km, and the trip takes about 5–6 hours. Many travelers combine the drive with stops in nearby destinations such as Hangzhou or Huangshan.
2) From Other Cities in China
By Air (via Jingdezhen)
The closest airport is Jingdezhen Airport, about 90 km from Wuyuan. From there, a taxi or car ride takes around 1.5–2 hours.
By High-Speed Train
Wuyuan is connected to China’s high-speed rail network, with trains from cities like Hangzhou, Huangshan, Shangrao, Beijing, and Guangzhou. For most travelers, this is the fastest and simplest way to reach the countryside of Wuyuan.
5. Traveling Within Wuyuan County
One thing many travelers don’t realize before arriving is that Wuyuan isn’t a single village. It’s a county made up of many scattered villages and scenic areas spread across hills and valleys. The first time I visited, I quickly understood that getting around requires a bit of planning. Fortunately, there are several practical options.

Wuyuan Station ( High-speed train and regular trains)
From Wuyuan Railway Station to Huangling (篁岭)
When you exit Wuyuan Railway Station, you’ll see buses and taxis waiting outside.
The easiest budget option is the blue tourist shuttle bus that runs directly to Huangling Village.
- Frequency: about every 20–30 minutes
- First bus: around 7:00 AM
- Last bus: around 5:20 PM
- Fare: about ¥20
The ride takes roughly 40–50 minutes depending on traffic.

The Blue Shuttle Buses run from Wuyuan Railway Station to Huangling
From Wuyuan Railway Station to Jiangling (江岭)
Jiangling is famous for its terraced rapeseed flower fields, but it’s a bit deeper in the countryside.
Private car or ride-share
When you leave the station, drivers often offer shared rides.
- Shared car: about ¥30–50 per person
- Private car: about ¥120–200 per vehicle
This is usually the fastest and simplest option.
Public bus route
You can also go by public transport:
- Take Bus #1 or #2 from the station to Wuyuan North Bus Station (about 15 minutes, ¥2).
- From there, take a yellow tourist shuttle bus to Jiangling (about 1 hour 20 minutes, around ¥20).
The last bus normally leaves mid-afternoon, so always check the schedule before relying on this option.
Getting Between Villages
Most travelers visit villages such as Huangling, Jiangling, Jiangwan, Likeng, Xiaoqi, and Qingyuan.
You generally have two choices:
Tourist shuttle buses
Cheaper but less frequent. Some routes only run a few times per day.
Taxis or private cars
More flexible and often worth it if you’re traveling with 2–4 people.
Typical taxi prices:
- Jiangling → Huangling: about ¥80–120
- Jiangling → Jiangwan: about ¥40–60
If you plan to visit several villages in one day, many travelers hire a private car with driver for the day. It’s often the most comfortable way to explore Wuyuan’s countryside at your own pace.
Local Travel Agencies and Car Rental Services
If you prefer a smoother experience—especially if you’re visiting several villages in one day—many travelers arrange a private car with a local driver. I’ve found this particularly helpful in Wuyuan because the villages are spread out and public transport schedules can be limited.
Several local agencies in Wuyuan offer car rental, driver services, and customized itineraries. Here are two commonly used options:
Wuyuan Car Rental Network (婺源包车网)

Phone: +86 17687932030
Email: 754663179@qq.com

Wuyuan International Travel Agency (婺源国际旅行社)
Phone: 0793-7367699 / 7253555 / 7472555
24-hour Hotline: 18070331088 / 13576329806 / 13367030107
Website: www.wycits.cn
A quick note: Ruqin China Travel is not affiliated with these companies. I’m sharing them simply as references so you have a starting point if you need local transport services.
For a private car with driver, prices usually start around ¥200 per day for short local routes, depending on distance and vehicle type. During peak rapeseed flower season, prices can rise 30–50%, so it’s wise to arrange your car in advance. For small groups of 3–5 people, this is often the most comfortable and time-efficient way to explore Wuyuan’s countryside.
6. Wuyuan Car Rental for Foreign Travelers
Some travelers ask me whether they can simply rent a car and drive themselves around Wuyuan. On paper it sounds appealing—the countryside roads are scenic and the villages are spread out. But in reality, self-driving in China as a foreign visitor is a bit more complicated.
The key thing to understand is that China does not recognize foreign driver’s licenses or International Driving Permits (IDPs) for driving. To legally rent and drive a car, you must have a Chinese driver’s license.
For most short-term visitors, this means self-driving isn’t the easiest option.
Who Can Legally Rent a Car in China
To rent and drive a car yourself, you generally need:
- A valid Chinese driver’s license
- Passport identification
- To meet the minimum rental age, usually 21–23, depending on the company and vehicle type
Some long-term travelers obtain a temporary Chinese driving permit, but this process usually requires paperwork and is typically handled in larger cities rather than small counties like Wuyuan.
What About Digital Driver’s Licenses?
China has an electronic driver’s license available through the “交管12123” mobile app, but this system is designed for Chinese citizens with domestic licenses. Foreign travelers cannot use it to rent a car.
My Practical Advice
In Wuyuan, the easiest solution is usually hiring a local driver or taxi for the day. Roads between villages are straightforward, but having a local driver removes the stress of navigation, parking, and language barriers.
For most travelers, it’s simply the more relaxed way to explore the countryside.
7. Wuyuan Bicycle Rental Guide
Cycling is one of the most peaceful ways to experience Wuyuan. I still remember riding along a quiet country road outside the villages—rapeseed fields on both sides, farmers working slowly in the fields, and almost no traffic. If you enjoy slow travel, exploring Wuyuan by bicycle can be surprisingly rewarding.
Where to Rent a Bike
You’ll find small bike rental shops in Wuyuan town and a few villages.
In Wuyuan Town
- Wuyuan Cyclist Club (婺源骑行者自行车俱乐部) – Located on Wengong North Road. Mountain and road bikes available. Prices usually ¥10–20 per hour.
- Giant Wuyuan (捷安特婺源店) – A reliable shop offering better-quality bikes and repair services. Good for longer rides.
- Near Tianyou Middle School (天佑中学附近) – A couple of small rental shops offering simple bikes for ¥30–50 per day.
In Scenic Villages
- Hongguan Valley Farm (虹关山谷里农场) – Offers mountain bikes and gear, suitable for countryside routes.
- Qinghua Town Backpacker Station (清华镇驴友驿站) – A simple option for short village rides.
Easy Cycling Routes
If you’re new to cycling in Wuyuan, start with relaxed countryside routes.
- Hongguan Village Loop – A gentle 15–20 km ride through quiet villages and farmland.
- Wuyuan Town to Jiangling – A scenic ride famous during rapeseed flower season.
More experienced riders sometimes cycle Hongguan to Qinghua Town, a 22 km countryside route ending near the historic Rainbow Bridge.
Practical Tips
- Check the brakes, tires, and chain before renting.
- A helmet is strongly recommended, especially on mountain roads.
- Roads between villages can include steep hills, so a mountain bike is usually the best choice.
Cycling isn’t for everyone, but if you enjoy slow exploration, it’s one of the most memorable ways to see Wuyuan’s countryside.
8. Wuyuan Travel Routes and Duration
One thing that surprised me on my first visit is that Wuyuan isn’t organized around one central sightseeing area. Instead, the villages are spread across different valleys, and most travelers explore them through three general routes: East, North, and West. Each route has its own character, so planning your days well really makes a difference.
East Route (Most Popular)
The East Route is where many first-time visitors spend most of their time. It’s the area famous for rapeseed flower terraces, Huizhou villages, and classic countryside scenery.
Some of the best-known stops include Likeng, Wangkou, Jiangwan, Xiaoqi, Huangling, and Jiangling.

Wuyuan East Travel Route Map (Google Maps source)
In spring, this area becomes especially beautiful when the rapeseed fields turn the valleys bright yellow. Early morning is the best time to visit—the mist over the villages creates the kind of scenes photographers love.
I usually recommend 1–2 days for this route.
North Route (Historic Villages and Bridges)
The North Route feels quieter and more traditional. Here you’ll find historic villages, old stone bridges, and forested valleys.
Popular places include Sixi Yancun, Rainbow Bridge, Wolong Valley, and Lingyan Cave.

Wuyuan North Travel Route Map ( Google Maps source)
Autumn is particularly lovely here when the hills begin to change color, but it’s pleasant throughout the year. Plan about 1 day, or 2 days if you prefer a slower pace.
West Route (Quieter Countryside)
The West Route is less visited but has its own charm. Sites such as Yantian Ancient Camphor Tree and Wengong Mountain offer a quieter countryside atmosphere with fewer tour groups.

Wuyuan West Travel Route Mao ( Google Maps source)
If you enjoy peaceful villages and rural scenery, this route is worth adding. Usually one day is enough.
Ideal Length of Stay
To experience Wuyuan comfortably, I usually suggest 3–4 days. That gives you enough time to explore the East Route highlights, visit parts of the North Route, and still enjoy the countryside without rushing from village to village.

The best time to visit is in spring and autumn, when the scenery is particularly breathtaking. You can take a cable car to the top of the village for a panoramic view.
Huaxi Water Street 花溪水街
Huaxi Water Street sits in the Shuikou Forest area of Huangling Scenic Area, Wuyuan. This charming sloped street has a flowing waterway running down its center, lined with shops inspired by traditional farming-era water systems. With its cool misty air, it’s the perfect spot to escape the summer heat.

Huaxi Water Street 花溪水街
The street is filled with mist installations, creating a dreamy, fairy-tale atmosphere. Lush flowers and greenery line both sides, making the street burst with color. Unique attractions like stone mills, water-powered hammers, and a floating “mystery house” add to the fun.
Beyond just a shopping and entertainment street, Huaxi Water Street lets visitors experience the ancient village culture of Huangling in a refreshing way.
Ancient Village Sky Street 古村天街
Ancient Village Sky Street is another must-visit in Huangling, forming a loop with Huaxi Water Street. Known for its classic architecture and rich cultural vibe, it preserves a large number of traditional Hui-style buildings, offering a glimpse into Wuyuan’s historic charm.

We stayed at Mingxun Courtyard in Yancun, a century-old Hui-style mansion. The wooden architecture, rustic decor, weathered gray tiles, and intricate wood carvings create an atmosphere that feels like stepping back 100 years into a grand Huizhou merchant’s home. Wandering through its halls and lofts, you can almost hear echoes of the past

In the blooming season, Wuyuan’s rapeseed flowers are most famous in the terraced fields of Jiangling and Huangling. Especially, Jiangling has four viewing platforms, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular terraced rapeseed fields and ancient villages from different angles.
Please note that the blooming time of the rapeseed flowers may be influenced by factors such as temperature. Therefore, the specific best viewing time might be slightly earlier or later than expected.
11. Best Time to View Autumn Colors in Wuyuan
Autumn in Wuyuan is like a painting, with stunning landscapes and vibrant fall colors. Here, you will find fiery red maple leaves, golden ginkgo trees, and snow-white reed flowers.

12. Accommodation Options in Wuyuan
One decision that shapes your Wuyuan experience more than people expect is where you stay. The villages are spread out, and waking up inside the countryside feels very different from staying in the county town. On my first trip, I stayed in town for convenience—but later I realized that spending a night in one of the villages lets you experience Wuyuan at its most peaceful, especially early in the morning before day-trippers arrive.

Car ride up to Wang Xian Gu – scary? – The road is quite narrow, with large vehicles and some tricky overtaking, so it can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially on busy days. Inside the scenic area, expect lots of crowds, so be prepared for slow movement, especially during holidays.

17. Transportation from Wangxiangu (Valley) to Shangrao Railway Station
In case the shuttle buses are too busy going from Wangxian Gu ( Valley) 望仙谷 to Shangrao Railway Station 上饶火车站, you can book a taxi orride-hailing through Didi.
Taxi Guide from Wang Xian Gu to Shangrao Railway Station
Taxi Availability & Travel Time
Can you get a taxi?
There are a few taxis stationed at the exit of Wang Xian Gu Scenic Area, but during peak hours, holidays, or when shuttle buses are full, you might have to wait longer.
Alternative Options:
Using Didi or Gaode (Amap) to book a ride is a more reliable option, especially on non-holiday days when drivers tend to accept orders quickly.
Travel Time:
The journey is around 50 km and normally takes 50 minutes to 1 hour under good road conditions. However, during holidays or in rainy/snowy weather, it could take up to 1.5 hours due to traffic.
Estimated Cost & Booking Tips
Taxi & Ride-Hailing Costs:
A one-way taxi or ride-hailing service costs around ¥120-¥150 (including highway tolls).
Shared rides cost ¥30-¥40 per person, depending on availability.
Didi allows advance booking (1-2 hours before departure) and provides transparent pricing estimates.
What if no cars are available?
If you can’t find a driver on the app, ask the scenic area staff to help call a local driver. However, expect to pay 10%-20% more.
If you’re staying at a guesthouse, check with the host. Many partner with local drivers and can arrange a private transfer at a similar price to ride-hailing services.

I & my friend plan to visit Wuyuan mid Nov 24. Initial plan is only going to Huangling as we went to Jiangling in rapeseed season 6 yrs ago. But after reading your post, i m wondering that we could see autumn foliage in Wuyuan. In what places will u recommend us? Also if possible , pls kindly advise where to go first and where to stay. We could spend few dayss in Wuyuan.
Our plan isnt fixed yet. We re planning to come to Wuyuan from Sanqingshan. We may hire taxi from didi app to Wuyuan directly. Do u know how much does it cost? And how long does it take? I guess it would be better in term of convenience& comfort to hire taxi directly to Wuyuan than taking train from Shangrao to Wuyuan St. and then hire taxi from Wuyuan St. to Wuyuan attractions.
Well, do u know abt the bus from Shangrao to Sanqingshan? Are these buses big ones in which we can leave our luggages at the compartments?
Hi Gacc,
Thanks for reaching out to Ruqin China Travel!
You have several questions about your trip to Wuyuan and Sanqingshan. Well, I’d like to answer your first question about Wuyuan Travel.
1. Best Places to See Autumn Foliage in Wuyuan
Huangling Village
Huangling is one of the best-known spots for autumn foliage in Wuyuan, and it’s a great choice for your visit. In mid-November, the ancient trees surrounding the village turn shades of red, yellow, and orange, creating a perfect contrast against the white-walled, gray-tiled Huizhou houses. Huangling is also famous for its traditional practice of “Shaiqiu” (晒秋), where locals dry crops like chilies, corn, and pumpkins in bamboo baskets, adding rich textures and colors to the landscape.
Xiaoqi Village
Located close to Huangling, Xiaoqi Village is quieter but equally beautiful. The ancient camphor trees and maple trees in Xiaoqi put on a vibrant autumn display, making it a hidden gem for foliage lovers. The village’s serene atmosphere, combined with the scenic beauty, makes it a must-visit.
Likeng Village
Likeng is another charming village that offers stunning views of fall foliage. The river that flows through the village reflects the golden and red hues of the trees, creating picture-perfect views. This village is known for its historical significance and ancient architecture, which adds to the overall charm of the place in autumn.
Sixi-Yancun (思溪延村景区) “Yancun on the map”
This village complex is often overlooked but offers some of the best scenery in Wuyuan during autumn. Surrounded by rolling hills and ancient trees, Sixi-Yancun is perfect for visitors who want to experience traditional culture and stunning autumn landscapes. The fiery red and golden leaves against the ancient homes and calm rivers make it a scenic destination.
2. Recommended Itinerary: Where to Go First and What to See
Day 1: Arrival and Explore Huangling Village
Arrive in Wuyuan and check in to a guesthouse near Huangling.
Spend your afternoon and evening exploring Huangling Village, where you’ll experience the autumn foliage and the Shaiqiu harvest scenes. Take the cable car up the mountain for panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Watch the sunset from the top, as the colors of the autumn leaves are particularly striking at this time of day.
Day 2: Visit Xiaoqi and Likeng Villages
Start the day with a visit to Xiaoqi Village, where you can stroll through narrow lanes lined with ancient trees and explore the historic buildings.
In the afternoon, head to Likeng Village. Take a walk along the river and visit the traditional houses. This village is a photographer’s dream, especially with the autumn leaves reflected in the water.
Day 3: Explore Sixi-Yancun Village
On your last full day, visit the Sixi-Yancun Village Complex. This is a peaceful, scenic area ideal for soaking in Wuyuan’s natural beauty without the crowds. Enjoy a leisurely day wandering through the streets, and don’t miss out on the incredible views of autumn foliage from the hills surrounding the village.
Day 4: Departure
If you have extra time before leaving, you could revisit any of the villages or enjoy a relaxed morning in Huangling before departing for your next destination.
3. Where to Stay in Wuyuan
To make the most of your trip, consider staying in a local guesthouse or boutique hotel that reflects the traditional architecture and offers scenic views of the countryside. Here are a few recommendations:
Huangling Guesthouses
Huangling Ancient Village Boutique Hotel: Located right in Huangling Village, this hotel provides easy access to autumn foliage views and offers cozy, traditional rooms.
Huangling Scenic Area Hotel: A mid-range option, it’s perfect for travelers who want a comfortable stay close to the village entrance.
Wuyuan City (Closer to Multiple Villages)
Wuyuan Qinghua Boutique Hotel: Centrally located, this boutique hotel makes it easy to reach different villages. It features traditional decor and modern amenities.
Wuyuan Tianma Hotel: A well-known option in Wuyuan town, offering convenience and comfort for those looking to explore multiple villages in the area.
For a more immersive experience, staying in guesthouses within the villages (Huangling or Likeng) allows you to enjoy the authentic charm of Wuyuan.
4. Practical Tips for Your Wuyuan Trip in Autumn
Getting Around: Since the villages are spread out, hiring a private car or a local driver is the best way to explore Wuyuan. Alternatively, there are buses, but they may not be as convenient for village-hopping.
Weather: Mid-November is cool and pleasant, with average daytime temperatures around 15-20°C (59-68°F). Pack warm layers, as evenings can get chilly.
Photography: Autumn in Wuyuan is a photographer’s paradise. Bring a good camera and be ready to capture the vibrant colors and picturesque village life.
Crowds: Wuyuan can get busy, even in autumn. Arrive early in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds, especially at popular spots like Huangling.
Local Cuisine: Don’t miss out on the local Wuyuan cuisine. Try regional specialties like Wuyuan Li Hongzao (red dates), Wuyuan rice wine, and dishes featuring local freshwater fish and bamboo shoots.
Hope the travel information above will be useful for you.
Have a nice trip to Wuyuan!

Hi Gacc,
Just a follow-up to your second question about the transfer from Sanqingshan to Wuyuan.
Hiring a taxi directly from Sanqingshan to Wuyuan via the DiDi app ( or just hail a local taxi) is certainly a convenient and comfortable option.
The taxi fare from Sanqingshan to Wuyuan is approximately 200 RMB. ( 75km ), about one and a half hours
Taxi Fare Overview:
Fare Range: The estimated cost of taking a taxi from Sanqingshan to Wuyuan is around 200 RMB ( one and a half hours )
Influencing Factors: Please note that the actual fare may vary due to factors such as traffic conditions, vehicle type, and whether you use a ride-hailing app.
Other Transportation Options:

Dear Daniel,
I do appreciate your kindness in replying with detailed information. Also please accept my apology for being late response.
We still keep our plan going to China in which we will reach there very soon. I am so excited to visit China again after such a long period of time due to Covid since 2019.
Due to some reason we have to change our plan going to Sanqingshan (Jinsha Cableway), not from Shangrao but heading there from Wangxiangu in which I believe there are buses running from there. Could you please help me checking whether there are buses running that route.
Then from Jinsha we are planning to use ride-hailing app heading to Wuyuan. I have few questions to ask regarding Wuyuan attractions.
Is the Wuyuan 12 scenic spot 5 day pass inclusive of Shuimoshanghe?
As you explained Huangling Scenice Area ticket costs 145 Yuan (inclusive of cable car), how about only Huangling Scenic Area ticket? As I understand no need to buy cable car if staying at Xiaorong village. Please clarify.
Is the plan below ok to use Wuyuan 12 scenic spot 5 day pass + Huangling Scenic Area Ticket? I think it covers 5 days.
Does Wuyuan also offer discounted tickets for seniors? 70 yrs old.
I just recently knew about Shicheng about its autumn foliage. Therefore, I decided to add Shicheng in our plan. I have planned to visit Sixiyancun, Rainbow Bridge, Shicheng, Shuimoshanghe, Likeng, Wangkou, Xiaoqi, Jiangling, Jiangwan and of course Huangling. Please recommend me arranging attractions to be visited in what day.
Please see below our plan.
Day 1 Jinsha > Shicheng
Overnight in Shicheng
Day 2 Shicheng – visitting Rainbow Bridge and Sixiyancun today.
Overnight in Shicheng
Day 3 Shicheng > Huangling (in order to avoid crowds during weekend)
Mainly wander around Huangling
Overnight in Huangling
Day 4 Huangling > Jiangling – visiting Jiangwan and Xiaoqi today
I don’t know whether what can we see in Jiangling during November as it is famous for blooming rapeseed in which we visited Jiangling for blooming rapeseed in 2018.
Overnight in Jiangling
Day 5 Jiangling > Likeng – visiting Wangkou, Likeng and Shuimoshanghe
Overnight in Likeng
Day 6 Likeng > Wuyuan Railway Station
Enjoying wander around Likeng before heading to Wuyuan Railway Station.
Regards,
Gacc
Dear Daniel,
Regarding the question about Wuyuan 12 scenic spot 5 day pass, i just realized that you did not mention about Shicheng & Shuimoshanghe (already asked above) as I plan to visit (already explained about my 6 days plan there above). Please clarify.

Gacc

Hello,
I’m planning to visit Wuyuan – Wangxian valley – Sanqingshan in March Y2025. We are a group of 7 adults. I have found that your website is very informative and provides useful responses. Thanks for your great work.
I still have some questions which need your advice.
After 2 nights in Wuyuan, I’m planning to go to Wangxian valley then to Sanqingshan
1. Is there a direct bus between Wangxian valley and Sanqingshan? How much and how often? Is it possible to go by taxi? How much?
2. For 7 adults, how much does it cost to hire a private van or 7-seats car for travelling around Wuyuan. I will stay in Jiangwan and plan to visit Jiangling and other towns on east route.
Thank you in advance for your response.
Best regards,
