I’ve read that the Xi’an Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda are in the same area, along with a park. It’s a bit confusing — do I need to make separate reservations for each site, or is one booking enough? And is advance booking even required? Oliver
Hi Oliver,
There’s no need to book separately. The Xi’an Museum, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Jianfu Temple Ruins are all part of the same cultural site - Xi’an Museum, located within a shared park at No. 72 West Youyi Road, Beilin District, Xi’an.
These three components form an integrated layout — the pagoda, temple site, and museum — and can all be accessed with a single free reservation - Xi’an Museum.
Important:
While entry is free, advance booking is required to help manage visitor numbers. Once you’ve booked, your reservation grants access to the entire site.
How to reserve tickets:
-
On the official Xi’an Museum website (desktop only)
-
Via the official WeChat account of Xi’an Museum
-
Through Meituan or Dianping apps (Chinese platforms)
-
Or in person at the entrance, subject to availabilit
