Wangfujing International Brand Festival underway
The 10th Beijing Wangfujing International Brand Festival opened on September 10 and will continue for approximately one month.
Beijing Fashion Week is using Wangfujing Pedestrian Street as its main venue from September 10–17, with more than 20 fashion shows and product launches. An international market at Jixiang Plaza continues through October 8, featuring goods from ten countries.

Further pop-up shops and product exhibitions will appear outside Beijing Department Store from September 23 to October 7.
The events give visitors more to see along Wangfujing, but temporary structures and performances may make parts of the pedestrian street busier than usual. Travelers interested only in sightseeing should visit earlier in the morning. Official Wangfujing festival announcement

Beijing Railway Station adds luggage ramps
Beijing Railway Station has completed two practical improvements for passengers.
Two new asphalt luggage ramps now run beside the main exit passage. Each ramp is approximately 1.2 metres wide and 70 metres long, providing a smoother route for wheeled suitcases.
The station has also upgraded 15 escalators with systems that can detect falls, congestion and passengers moving in the wrong direction. Staff can monitor and control the escalators remotely.
This is particularly helpful for international visitors carrying large luggage, families with children and older travelers. Follow the yellow ramp markings when leaving the platforms instead of pulling suitcases over the older stepped surface. Beijing Railway Station improvement report
