Yes, as far as current local information shows, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Music Fountain Show is still operating, even during winter. Some websites may list seasonal suspensions, but at the moment, the show has not been fully closed for winter.
Under normal circumstances, the daily performance schedule is as follows (subject to on-site adjustments):
12:00–12:10
16:00–16:10
19:00–19:10
21:00–21:10
Please note that due to routine maintenance, the 12:00 and 16:00 shows are cancelled every Tuesday. In addition, performance times may change because of weather conditions or special events. We recommend checking locally on the day of your visit for the latest updates.

Can You Buy Tickets On Site?
Yes, you can buy tickets at the entrance.
But there’s something many travelers don’t realize until they arrive: the visit is divided into two separate tickets.
Da Ci’en Temple Ticket
This is the main entrance ticket to the temple complex where the pagoda stands.
You can buy it either online (for example through the “Da Ci’en Temple” WeChat mini-program “大慈恩寺”小程序) or at the entrance ticket window.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda Climbing Ticket
If you want to climb inside the pagoda, this requires a separate ticket — and it can only be purchased on site. Online reservation is not available.
Important On-Site Ticket Tip
You’ll need to enter Da Ci’en Temple first.
Once inside, walk toward the pagoda entrance, where there is a separate ticket counter for climbing the tower. That’s where you purchase the climbing ticket.
