Itinerary Highlights
Ride through Shanghai’s cultural heart while tasting authentic street snacks and hearing stories from your local guide.
🚴 China Cycle Tours HQ (Starting Point – Pass By)
Your Shanghai Bike & Food Tour begins at our central meeting point, where you’ll get set up with your bike and helmet. After a short safety briefing, meet your guide and fellow riders. This is your chance to ask questions, adjust your gear, and get excited for the ride ahead. From here, we’ll head straight into Shanghai’s streets, where the adventure begins.
🇫🇷 Former French Concession (Pass By)
Glide through tree-lined avenues and past elegant villas from the early 1900s. This area once served as a French settlement and still exudes old-world charm.

You’ll pass by art deco mansions, chic cafés, and hidden lanes alive with history. Your guide will share stories of expats, revolutionaries, and artists who once walked these streets. As you ride, take in the unique mix of European and Shanghainese architecture.
🔥 Xintiandi (Pass By)
Just a short ride away, you’ll reach Xintiandi — one of Shanghai’s most vibrant districts. This area is famous for its stylish mix of Shikumen architecture and modern design.

You’ll learn how this former residential neighborhood transformed into a buzzing hotspot filled with restaurants, boutiques, and galleries. While we pass through, your guide will point out the area’s cultural evolution and share some surprising local food recommendations.
Taikang Road / Tianzifang (Pass By)
Next, pedal into the creative alleys of Tianzifang, hidden inside Taikang Road. This artsy maze is packed with local studios, design shops, and quirky snack stalls. Feel the contrast between old-world lanes and modern art culture.

If timing allows, we’ll stop here for a quick bite — a savory pancake or a sweet local pastry. You’ll see where locals hang out and soak in the relaxed vibe of this tucked-away enclave.
The Bund (Pass By)
As we approach the end of Shanghai Bike & Food Tour, you’ll reach the Bund — Shanghai’s iconic waterfront promenade. On one side, admire neoclassical buildings from the colonial era. On the other, gaze across the Huangpu River at the futuristic skyline of Pudong.

Your guide will explain how the Bund has shaped Shanghai’s global identity. We’ll pause here for photos and maybe one last snack, enjoying the city’s perfect blend of past and present.
✅ Throughout the ride, expect photo stops, food tastings, and insider stories you won’t find in a guidebook. This experience is about connection — with the city, the locals, and the flavors that make Shanghai unforgettable.
