Qinghai Travel Guide

Qinghai is a vast and beautiful province in northwest China, known for its wide grasslands, snow-covered mountains, and bright blue lakes. It sits on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau and brings together Tibetan, Mongolian, Hui, and Han cultures. The province gets its name from Qinghai Lake, also called Koko Nor, which is the largest saltwater lake in China.

In Qinghai, you can explore old monasteries, hike through open landscapes, or ride bikes around the lake. The capital, Xining, is a great place to learn about local culture and start your journey. Whether you’re here for nature, history, or peace and quiet, Qinghai offers a slower and deeper travel experience. This guide will help you plan your trip with tips on what to see, where to go, and how to make the most of your time.
